Public Library Strategies for Building Stronger Economies and Communities. No. 591.

In survey and case study work with members of the
Urban Libraries Council (ULC), an association of
the leading public libraries across the United States
and Canada committed to strengthening the public
library as an essential part of urban life, we found
evidence of strong public library initiatives and partnerships
that may serve as maps and models for new
and collaborative local economic development
approaches.
